According to a new report released by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, Twitter has been gaining popularity with Internet users over the last six months. Their research concluded that 13 percent of adult Internet users use Twitter, which is a significant increase from the 8% of online adults who identified themselves as Twitter users in 2010.
